UMMM....Don't buy this.

I was looking forward to reading this book...buyer beware...its only 24 pages. 24 pages??? As I was reading this on my kindle, I almost thought it was just the preview and I didn't actually spend $4.99 on it. Butta 'Fly" Jonez used to have a website with useful articles and videos on this topic. Her videos are still available on youtube if you look for it, but the last time I looked for the website, it had been taken down. I don't know what happened, I know she had transitioned part of the website to "paid" and then the next time I look her up, I can't really find her. Her website used to be peepgame.net. Anyway, because I was a fan, I went ahead and bought this, not really thinking too much about what the other reviewer said about it missing some of the best articles. SOME? HOW ABOUT IT'S MISSING EVERYTHING? This "ebook" should be 99cents or less. I'm disappointed that Butta "Fly" Jonez didn't come better than this. What happened to her? Luckily there's other books on this topic like the Power of the Pussy. But I was interested in what Butta had to see from a Black women's perspective. Anyway, don't buy this, there's nothing here to read if you've read her other materials, watched her videos, or read other books like Power of the Pussy (which I reccommend).

I enjoy Butta Fly Jonez writings on her original blog peepgame.net. I was very happy that she took those articles and put them in a guide that I can use and refer to again and again. I hope she writes another book about the subject because some of my favorite articles were left out. This is a guide that should be studied again and again until you have all of the rules of the game down pack.

Slave trade love and history

This is an excellent book involving early slave trade shipping between England and the Ivory coast in Africa. It also involves love stories within the characters and a interracial daughter raised in Cuba in a convent. It is a strong story with strong characters, anyone reading it will be enthralled with the characters and the intrigue of their lives, loves, and their characters intertwined with the early sailing, shipbuilding, sugar plantations and slave trade to Bristol England. It provides lite into the inner workings of the trade and the suffering the slaves endured, on crowded, poorly ventilated murchant ships, on their long journey's to where they were bought and sold, not much differently from working animals. It is a heart rending love story guaranteed to catch ones breath and hold ones interest to the very end. I have read this fine writing twice and enjoyed it as much the second time as much as the very first time I read it. It is worth the time spent to read it and it is pure reading pleasure. The writer certainly did a great job, although it was written a long time ago, its story is timeless and brings one's memory to the time when these things happened making one feel that they are actually there, somehow watching what is happening throughout the book.

I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in slave trade, shipping, or a wonderful love story.

My "teething" book for life.

Somehow, I found this book laying around the house as a kid of about 11-12 years old. As far as I can remember, it is the first novel of any substance that I ever read (or perhaps the first that I wanted to remember!). Since that experience my life has been changed since it created in me a love for reading that still burns brightly for me at the age of 69.

I don't know why this old classic isn't in e-reader form. It's one of the best historical fiction books I've ever read. It starts with the slave trade in England and takes the reader all around the world with correct history of each place visited and a good romantic sub-story.
