Fantastic book about the "real" Italy!

For many years we have been in love with Italy. The food, the wine, the landscape, the beautiful stonehouses and the wonderful friendly Italian people. Like most people we have travelled to Tuscany, Rome, Venice, Lago di Como and Lago di Garda. Why? Beacuse talking to travel agencies and friends these were the only places that they knew. We have had some great trips, but we have never really found the "real" Italy, where there are few turists and the local people only speak Italian. However, after reading this exciting book written by 2 Danes, I think we have found the region we have been looking for: Piedmont in Northern-Italy where Torino is the capital. Fantastic food (truffles in the autumn), the best wines in Italy (Barolo and Barberesco), close to the sea in the summer and close to some of the best skiing in the winter. Sounds just like the perfect location for us. The book tells the story about a family that did what many of us dream about, but very few dare to do: They bought a ruin in the hills of Roccaverano and converted it into a wounderful vacation house. It is done in details, but also with a great sense of humor. In fact the entire book is written in a very personal way with lots of great tips and stories about the wine, the food and the people of this region. The pictures are amazing and you really fall in love with the area. We have already booked a 3 week trip to Piedmont in the beginning of June this year. Thank you Erik and Jesper for opening up our eyes to this region!

But I would like to correspond with the authors

I have not had time to read this book. But I would like to correspond with the authors. Because I think the house was in my family in the 1700's and would like to talk to the owner. I have not done anything about this question but will in future. Sincerely Suzette Coleman. It was wonderful to get the book and in good shape too.
